W3schools One of the most comprehensive helps on the Web today. Whether you need help with javascript, html, or .NET, w3schools has some fantastic helps overall. With hundreds of tutorials and pages that allow you to try as well learn the code they continue to be an invaluable resource. The only subject I really find them lacking in is CSS. While they have the basics listed, the explanation is lacking.

Stylin' with CSS The hands down best resource period for CSS available today. Everything you need to know about CSS. I can't say enough about this book and it's author. Charles Wyke-Smith explains CSS the way it should be, line by line.
How to Cheat in Flash If you are into adding Flash effects to your webpages then this is a must have resource for you. Be aware however that this IS NOT a book for beginners, it is recommended that you have at least a basic understanding of Flash. Check out their website for more information.
Adobe Illustrator CS3 How-Tos: 100 Essential Techniques As a new user to Adobe Illustrator in 2008 this was the first book that I bought to help me out. The book goes through a good overview of the tools available and is a great launch pad for the new user. I actually built the graphics for this site with Illustrator by using some of the things I learned from the book.
